Join a winter journey through the layered streets of Kolkata with Shivam Pandey for Travel with Leica: Life and Light in Kolkata. Designed for photographers seeking intimacy, observation, and storytelling, this 5D4N workshop explores the city’s quiet mornings, fading colonial textures, bustling markets, tramlines, and human moments shaped by winter light.
Shooting alongside Shivam and his Leica M11 approach to street photography, participants will learn to slow down, anticipate emotion, and photograph with intent. More than a photo tour, this is an immersive experience into rhythm, culture, and the poetry of everyday life.

The Experience
- Day 1 — Historic Porto & Azulejos: Begin with a masterclass in visual storytelling and gear preparation, then explore Porto’s heritage by tuk-tuk before capturing sunset over the Arrábida Bridge from Jardim das Virtudes.
- Day 2 — Aveiro, Costa Nova & Matosinhos: Photograph the Douro Valley mist at sunrise, wander Aveiro’s canals and striped houses, and dive into Matosinhos’ fishing heritage with a sardine factory visit.
- Day 3 — Amarante & Douro Valley: Discover Amarante’s stone bridge and conventual pastries, enjoy vineyard lunches and boutique winery tastings, and capture golden hour light at Quinta da Bela.
- Day 4 — Leica Immersion: Gain exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the Leica Manufacturing Hub in Famalicão. Witness optics assembly, step inside the cleanroom, and receive a technical briefing from Leica Academy experts. Continue with a private tour of the Leica Store & Gallery Porto, followed by a Douro River sunset cruise aboard a private yacht.
- Day 5 — Bridge Heights & Wrap-Up: Stroll across the Dom Luís I Bridge at sunrise, present your projects in a closing showcase, and celebrate with a private walking tour and farewell drinks by the Ribeira waterfront.
