Day 2 – Wed, 18 Mar 2026

The Build-Up & The Explosion

  • Morning street photography in local markets during peak Nyepi preparations
  • Mandatory rest period in the afternoon
  • Evening: Ogoh-Ogoh Parade
  • Photography session: chaotic night procession of giant bamboo monsters — the visual climax of the workshop

Day 3 – Thurs, 19 Mar 2026

The Void — Nyepi (Day of Silence)

  • Nyepi observance — full day confined to the villa
  • Dedicated Darkroom Day workshop
  • Digital: Lightroom workflow, culling and editing
  • Analog: Hand-develop black & white film shot during Melasti and Ogoh-Ogoh

Day 4 – Fri, 20 Mar 2026

The Release — Omed-Omedan

  • Early departure to Sesetan village
  • Omed-Omedan (The Kissing Festival)
  • Photography session: youth of Bali in celebratory ritual — rebirth and joy
  • Evening: Final dinner and project presentation

Day 5 – Sat, 21 Mar 2026

Departure

  • Coffee and group debrief
  • Airport transfers

  • Dawn landscape photography at iconic locations.
  • Craft villages: incense & fish traps.
  • Cultural & human interest photography.
  • Long Coc tea hill drone & landscape sessions.
  • Daily photo review and discussions.
