The Nine Emperor Gods Festival culminates on the night of the ninth day of the ninth lunar month, when devotees gather for the grand sending-off ceremony as the deities symbolically return to the heavens. This vibrant conclusion to the nine-day festival is filled with powerful rituals, dramatic moments, and dazzling fireworks, offering photographers a rare opportunity to document an event rich in tradition, emotion, and atmosphere.
Guided by Leica Akademie tutor KC Eng, participants will be taken to key vantage points to witness and photograph unique scenes that are seldom experienced by the general public. From the energetic procession and devotional practices to the spectacular fireworks display that lights up the night sky, this photowalk presents exceptional opportunities for visual storytelling and cultural documentation.
