Join us for our Kelong Photo Walk and experience the unique maritime heritage of Malaysia and Singapore through your camera lens.

This workshop aims to celebrate the artistry and care involved in bringing fresh seafood from Kelong to table. It is a journey offers unique perspectives and a culinary experience.

Capture the Essence of Kelong Life:

  • Architectural Beauty: Explore the intricate wooden structures of Kelongs and their harmonious blend with the ocean.
  • Fishermen in Action: Document the dynamic scenes of fishing life, from the bustling activity of hauling in the catch to the serene moments at dusk.
  • Light and Water: Experiment with the interplay of light and water, capturing stunning images from the golden hues of sunrise to the tranquil twilight.

From Kelong to Table: A Culinary Journey:

  • Delectable Dishes: End the journey with beautifully plated seafood dishes, rich in color and detail, ready to be savored.
Includes:
Boat Transport to the Kelong
Transport from Kelong to Restaurant
Dinner with a 3-course meal at Scaled by Ah Hua Kelong

Maximum of 9 participants.

Agenda:
1545 - Assemble at Changi Ferry Terminal
1600 - 1610 - Head over to the Kelong via Boat
1610 - 1800 - Photography session at the Kelong
1800 - 1830 - Head back to mainland
1830 - 1900 - Take the transport to Scaled by Ah Hua Kelong
1900 - Have dinner at Scaled and end after dinner

Please arrive at 345pm for facilitation purposes.

Note: Participants are responsible in ensuring that you are available to attend the workshop on the selected date and time. No cancellation or refund is allowed upon sign up.

  • Participants would be required to bring their own cameras—any type is welcomed. A limited range of Leica cameras will be available on a first come, first serve basis. 
  • Wear comfortable clothing and footwear that are suitable for walking.
  • Bring notebooks or electronic devices for taking notes.
  • We reserve the right to cancel the workshop if the minimum number of participants is not met. Should this occur, full refunds will be provided.

  • Since this is a Photo Walk, the shooting experience will be more organic and relaxed. Feel free to approach the instructor for any hands-on advice and teaching you may need.
