Editing is more than choosing your best shots—it’s about shaping a story. In this intensive 1-day workshop, acclaimed artist, writer, and educator Zhuang Wubin will guide you through the art of editing and sequencing photographs for exhibitions, publications, and online showcase.

Prework (2 Weeks before Workshop)
- 1 to 1 sessions over email to write a project introduction about the participant’s photographs

- 10:00am–10:30am Introductions: tutor and participants share motivations and expectations
- 10:30am–11:15am Lecture: introducing the five-picture edit
- 11:15am–12:30pm Hands-on: participants attempt their first five-picture edit

- 1:30pm–2:15pm Lecture: building longer sequences (7+ photographs)
- 2:15pm–3:15pm Hands-on: participants create longer edits

About the Tutor
Zhuang Wubin is a writer, curator and photographer. He received his PhD by Published Work (Research–Photography) from University of Westminster, London.Zhuang[cn1] is the recipient of the British Academy Visiting Fellowship 2025, and the National Library Digital Fellowship 2023 in Singapore. He served as jury member for the Photobook Dummy Award, Hong Kong Photobook Festival (2021, 2023, 2025). He was also the contributing curator of Chiang Mai Photo Festival (2015, 2017, 2020).
Since 2008, Zhuang has taught workshops and modules on photography at photo institutions and universities. His recent workshops have been hosted by Leica Malaysia (2026), Lumenvisum, Hong Kong (2019, 2023, 2024, 2025), Matca Space for Photography, Hanoi (2024), Ateneo Art Gallery, Manila (2023), PannaFoto Institute, Indonesia (2019, 2020, 2022), and National Institute of Fine Arts, Laos (2017, 2018), amongst others.
