From First Frame to Published Photobook
Embark on a transformative photographic journey with the Leica Akademie Series: Photobook Pathway, a comprehensive three-month programme designed for photographers who aspire to develop their visual storytelling skills and bring their work to life in print.
Spanning six carefully structured lessons, this immersive pathway begins with a strong foundation in photographic fundamentals before guiding participants through intermediate techniques, visual narrative development, sequencing, editing, and photobook creation. By the end of the programme, participants will graduate with not only enhanced photographic skills, but also a completed body of work presented in their very own photobook.
This course is ideal for photographers who wish to move beyond individual images and learn how to create a cohesive visual story with purpose and impact.

Course Schedule:
10th Nov (4pm to 6pm) - Lesson 1: Fundamentals of Photography
24th Nov (4pm to 6pm) - Lesson 2: Basics of Composition
8th Dec (4pm to 6pm) - Lesson 3: Lightroom Essentials
22nd Dec (4pm to 6pm) - Lesson 4: Deep Dive into In-camera Adjustments
6th Jan (4pm to 6pm) - Lesson 5: Principles of Light and Shadow
27th Jan (4pm to 6pm) - Lesson 6: Advanced Editing and Publishing
As part of the programme, every participant will create a professionally produced photobook featuring their final body of work.
Upon successful completion of the course:
- One photobook will be presented to the participant as a lasting keepsake of their achievement.
- One photobook will be exhibited at Leica Store South Beach Quarter, allowing participants to share their vision with the wider Leica community.
All photobook production costs are included in the course fee.
