Leica Watches

Mechanically, both models are manually-wound watches displaying hours, minutes, and seconds, a date window, status, and power reserve. Both Leica ZM 1 and ZM 2 are fitted with a scratch-proof domed sapphire crystal, and a transparent case back, and are both water-resistant to a depth of 50 meters I 5ATM. The power reserve guarantees at least 60 hours of motion and is decked by evenly closing blades reminiscent of the shutters of a Leica camera.

As a GMT watch (Greenwich Mean Time), the Leica ZM 2 also uses a single hand to indicate the second time zone on the dial. The 12-hour bezel facilitates rapid, exact, and interpretation-free time-telling within a global orientation system.

Every detail is deliberate. The minimalist design of the Leica ZM Monochrom Edition removes all colour, with the exception of the Red Dot; letting the exquisite craftsmanship speak for itself. The fine satin finish of the stainless steel case and the bezel is coated in black (PVD coating), with beveled edges that seem to absorb light rather than reflect it. Beneath the domed sapphire crystal is the sandblasted, high-strength aluminium dial; the black rhodium-plated, diamond cut, and sandblasted indices; watch hands and a small second decor ring that reveal an impressive manufacturing quality.

The Monochrom Edition watch strap is made of thick, black calf leather with a strong grain, which is identical to the leather cover of the Leica M11 Monochrom. To support the slightly raw, powerful expression of the Monochrom watches its strap is crafted using a cut-edge construction and hand-stitched, thick black thread.

The ZM 11 is a watch for every moment: robust, sophisticated, and brimming with details, from its outstanding features to its luxurious finish. Leica's proprietary Easy Change strap system is a technical replica of Leica’s camera lens change system and allows easy, secure strap changes to suit any activity. The highly accurate Swiss automatic movement was designed and manufactured in partnership with Chronode SA. The ZM 11 is water resistant to 100m and comes with a 5-year warranty.

Limited to 50 pieces, the Leica ZM 1 Gold Limited Edition is a modern homage to the first Leica camera made of gold – the Leica I Model A Luxus, introduced in 1929. 

The distinctive dual-metal case of the ZM 1 Gold Limited Edition has been expertly forged by esteemed artisans. The case is made from 18k 4N gold (33.43 grams of fine gold) and features a horizontally brushed finish that sweeps elegantly across its surface and onto the lugs. The polished bevels cut a distinguished figure, offering a lustrous counterpoint to the matte sheen. The remaining structural elements are fashioned from robust Grade 5 Titanium, a material esteemed for its use in the aerospace and automotive sectors.
