Gorges d’Oppedette
Impressive limestone gorge of 2.5 km long, 140 meters wide and 200 meters depth. The limestone canyon attracts many species of birds and is part of the Luberon Regional Natural Park in France. In and around the canyon you can observe Wallcreeper, Crag Martin, Eagle Owl, Common Rock Thrush, Blue Rock Thrush and Eurasian Hobby.
Imbros Gorge
This 11 km long canyon on Crete has an 8 km long walking trail and is a popular hiking destination. Offering a less challenging alternative to the nearby Samaria Gorge. Gradac River Gorge
The Gradac River, with its fabulous 22.7 km long gorge, is the cleanest river in Serbia. The clean waters are an ideal habitat for White-throated Dipper and Grey Wagtail. The steep cliffs along the gorge harbour Wallcreeper and Eagle Owl. Another attraction are the otters that live in the river.
Krumltal
The Krumltal in Austria is not really a canyon, but more an extremely natural and wild valley in the Hohe Tauern National Park with some steep rock walls. Known for the reintroduction of the Bearded Vulture in the Alps. In 2010, Austria’s first young vulture to hatch in the wild successfully flew out. Meanwhile there is regularly breeding and Bearded Vulture can be observed very well in the area. Also Griffon Vulture and Golden Eagle can be spotted.
Trigrad Gorge
Deep narrow gorge in Bulgaria with mountain stream, limestone cliffs, pine trees and forest. Bicaz Gorge
The Bicaz Gorge is a very scenic canyon in Romania that serves as a passageway between the provinces of Moldova and Transylvania. The road winds along the 10 kilometres of ravines, often in serpentines, with rock on one side and a sheer drop on the other. It is one of the most spectacular drives in Romania. Many birds can be spotted in the gorge but the highlight is the hard-to-see Wallcreeper.


Foz de Arbayún
The Arbayun Gorge in Spain is a deep canyon excavated by the Salazar river, 6 km long and 400 m deep with vertical walls. The gorge has the largest colony of Griffon Vulture in Navarra, but you can also observe other birds of prey such as Bearded Vulture, Egyptian Vulture and Golden Eagle.


Yolyn Am Canyon
Beautiful canyon at 2400m above sea level in the Gobi Desert of southern Mongolia. Yolyn Am is named after the Bearded Vulture, which is called Yol in Mongolian. Bearded Vultures are easily seen, as are many other bird species including Wallcreeper, Eurasian Black Vulture, Steppe Eagle, Himalayan Griffon, Himalayan Beautiful Rosefinch and Golden Eagle.

Sani Pass
Mountain pass located in the Drakensberg Mountains in South Africa. This road leading to Lesotho follows the Sani river and reaches an elevation of over 2,800 meters. It passes different alpine habitats with rocky sections. Birds you can observe include Ground Woodpecker, Rufous-necked Wryneck, Buff-streaked Chat, Drakensberg Rockjumper, Drakensberg Siskin, Mountain Pipit and Bearded Vulture.
