For me, creativity begins with intention. As the founder and creative director of CLARISSA (@clarissagoddess), a premium alcohol brand inspired by Balinese ingredients, my work is guided by a vision of refined feminine energy.
Each bottle reflects a delicate balance of strength and softness, combining floral notes, gentle sweetness, and graceful character. Ingredients such as Coconut Kopyor and Golden Salak are carefully selected, transforming local elements into something timeless and expressive.
At the heart of my philosophy is an appreciation for emotions. From the way ingredients interact in a blend to the visual language of my brand, every element is carefully considered and crafted. This sensitivity to detail is what makes my work feel both intimate and enduring, capturing a quiet elegance that resonates with those who experience it.
With the Leica Q, I discovered a similar sense of artistry in photography and how it encouraged me to notice the finer details around me. The Leica Q allowed me to focus on subtle expressions, textures, and atmosphere rather than thinking about the technical side of photography.
Much like the ingredients I work with, the moments I tried to photograph were small but meaningful. Especially now being around International Women’s Day also felt especially special as I have always been about celebrating women who embrace both strength and softness.
Whether it is through selecting ingredients or quietly observing a moment before taking a photograph, the process feels very similar. It is about slowing down, noticing the subtleties, and allowing them to speak for themselves.
