There’s a certain rhythm to life on Singapore’s streets — fast, layered, and often overlooked. People rush by, each with their own story, but most of the time, we don’t stop to notice. With the Leica M EV1, I decided to slow down and see my city differently — not through its famous skyline or busy landmarks, but through the quieter moments that make it truly come alive.
What surprised me was how much I’d missed before. The M EV1 made me pause, observe, and capture moments that usually pass without anyone noticing.

As a street photographer, I usually shoot fast. With wide angles, I rely on zone focus and use the EVF mainly to frame. But when I switch to a 50mm or longer lens, I still prefer the classic split-image focus — it just feels right for my pace. What I like about the M EV1 is how smooth that transition is. The built-in EVF adds precision but keeps that signature Leica feel — simple, focused, and mindful.
