About the Photographer
Betty Goh (@betty_goh_photography) is a Singaporean photographer renowned for her distinctive, unconventional visual language. She transforms everyday urban scenes into introspective compositions, revealing hidden emotional undercurrents through light, shadow, reflection, and silhouette.
Photography became her personal liberation, a means of articulating unspoken emotions such as loneliness, vulnerability, desire, and inner conflict, captured unposed in single exposures. Her perspective is further shaped by her experience as a two-time cancer survivor, deepening her engagement with impermanence, ambiguity, and psychological tension that continue to define her work.
Her exhibition ‘Subconscious.unsolved’ will be on display in Singapore from 12 March until 3 June 2026 at the Leica Store South Beach Quarter.
