Leica M11 Owners Workshop

This workshop is designed for current owners of the Leica M11 and will teach practical skills to enhance their experience with the camera, with the help of Leica Akademie Instructor.

Scope:
This session will help ensure that you are making the most out of the capabilities of the Leica M11. Users of the M10, M10-P, M10-R, M10-Monochrom system will also benifit from the session, but the focus will be on the menus of the M11. 
Leica instructor will lead you through understanding the menu system, recommended settings, and step by step tips to help you increase the accuracy of your metering and speed of focus.

The workshop is arranged with a flexible schedule, so the group can organically discuss and share feedback, based on their unique areas of interest or desired areas of improvement. Having personal access to a seasoned Leica instructor will give you an unparalleled opportunity to ask tough questions and receive practical attention.
In order to put theory into practice, shooting exercises will be assigned throughout the workshop, giving you the chance to acquire expert advice while in the field – expanding your skills, working techniques and confidence while shooting.
Attendance is strictly limited to 5 participants per session.

  • Introduction to the M11, and how it compares to the different generations of M-cameras.
  • Advantages of the M11 with new releases such as the Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4
  • Understanding perspective control
  • Guided shoot
  • Photo review

Mathias Heng (@mathiasheng)

Mathias Heng is an international photojournalist who spends much of his time on assignments and conducting photography workshops.

Much of his work is emotionally charged; focusing on the documentary narrative of conflicts, natural disaster, poverty, social issues and its effects on the civilian population. He captures the turning points of human history and always approaches his subjects with respect and dignity.

His work appears internationally in a range of publications for both NGOs and editorial organisations throughout Asia and Europe. He is also a sought after workshop instructor and speaker who inspires his participants through his works and actions.

Despite his exposure to many atrocities, Mathias has never lost his passion and commitment to humanity; he continues to capture images which speak to people around the globe.
